cover REVEAL

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet because…there is TOO MUCH EXCITEMENT circulating to bother with a big blog post. What kind of excitement? Well, namely, my cover reveal!!

Yes.

(Finally.)

This has been a loooong time coming, and it has literally been my dream for YEARS to finally share this post with you. And now…it is time. It all feels very grand and dramatic for me as an author. This is the world’s first peek at my book–my story, my characters, my world. Though I wouldn’t know from experience, I can imagine that the feeling is something akin to a mother sending her young child off to school for the first time.

Thrilling.

And terrifying.

And…yep, the feeling is just as wonderful as I imagined.

But you don’t care about any of that, do you? You just want me to get to the point and SHOW YOU THAT COVER ALREADY!!! Or maybe you skipped right past all of this jargon and are eager to find the cover. Either way, I’m not going to let you get off that easy.

I. AM. IN. LOVE.

And I hope you are, too!! Anddd…if that cover wasn’t enough to entice you, maybe my book blurb will be…

What if friendship cost you everything?

Stranded in Hawaii after the death of her mother, sixteen-year-old
Olive Galloway is desperate to escape. She has to get back to Boston
before her dad loses all common sense and sells the family house. But
plane tickets cost money—something Olive gravely lacks.

With the help of Brander, the fussy youth group worship leader, and
Jazz, a mysterious girl with a passion for all things Hawaiian, Olive
lands a summer job at the Shave Ice Shack and launches a scheme to buy
a plane ticket home before the end of the summer.

But when Jazz reveals a painful secret, Olive’s plans are challenged.
Jazz needs money. A lot of it. Olive and Brander are determined to
help their friend but, when their fundraising efforts are thwarted,
Olive is caught in the middle. To help Jazz means giving up her ticket
home. And time is running out.

SO…are you ready to read yet? I hope so!

Unfortunately, you can’t get your hands on a copy for another couple of months. BUT, the ebook version is up for pre-sale on Amazon (check it out here!) Or, if you’re like me and would rather hold a real, live book in your hands, you can hold off until the actual release day and order the print version.

Thanks for reading, everyone!!

P.S. If you really, REALLY like my book cover, might you consider sharing about it on social media or showing it to your friends? In the writing world, there’s something called word-of-mouth publicity and, as a newbie author, I could use some of  it 😉
